“My name is Dorielle Ashaki Retemyer, (aka Asha) a Canadian based Guyanese animator and a Seneca 2D Animarion Graduate. I have been freelancing for the past two years and have worked on various projects such as short films, music videos, and trailers. I also worked at Smiley Guys Studio in 2020. I have had work I have been heavily involved in accepted into film festivals including the Montreal International Animation Film Festival and the Taafi Film Festival. I am currently working on my original story and a few other cool projects that will be disclosed in the future!. In Guyana, I was born in Linden. I attended the Watooka Day Primary School, and then Bishops’ High School. I initially was studying to be in the medical field, but after migrating, and completing my 12th Grade in Canada, I discovered that I would like to work in the Arts. I love my three cats Nami, Milo, and Chibi. My family and friends are cool too. <3
